Haiku Poem

Hello readers

Today at home I started doing some SLJ activities and I made a Haiku poem the hardest thing would be that I had to find some words to rhyme with the words at the end of the scentence (even though I didn´t have too) the easy thing was writing the syllables in each sentence here is my Haiku poem it´s about Christmas I hope you like it.

  1. Tena koe Raquel,

What a great Christmas poem! I like that you referenced stockings being stuffed full of presents! The word “stuffing” you used also made me think of turkey stuffing! Yum!

Haikus are difficult, especially to try to get them to rhyme! Another student at your school noted that they used a syllable counter to help them. This sounds like a great tool!

What are you most looking forward to about Christmas? I am looking forward to spending time with my family.

    Ngā mihi,

    Charlotte
